On the night between February 14 and 15, 1965, three prominent public officials in the Republic of the Congo; Lazare Matsocota (prosecutor of the Republic), Joseph Pouabou (president of the Supreme Court) and Massouémé Anselme (director of the Congolese Information Agency), were kidnapped.
